Strategic Contract Negotiator

At KPMG, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Contract Negotiator to join our team.
Job DescriptionThe role of the Strategic Contract Negotiator is to support Client Engagement Leads in managing client contracts throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes advising on firmwide contracting processes, procedures, and systems, as well as working with other specialists to facilitate contracts through various stages of contracting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with Engagement Leads, Legal teams, Risk Management, and Privacy specialists to ensure seamless contract management. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing guidance to Engagement Leads on KPMG's preferred positions regarding new contracts, variations, or renewals.
- Conducting initial assessments of contracts to identify clauses that require escalation to specialist teams.
- Managing the contract review and negotiation cycle, including facilitating internal reviews and preparing contractual documents.
- Overseeing contract approvals and execution processes.
- Developing contract guidelines for key clients to equip Engagement Leads with knowledge of the contract.
- Creating contract reports and analysis to support performance management of contracts.
- Spearheading the operationalisation of KPMG's Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLMS).
This role requires a deep understanding of contracts, contractual obligations, and related risks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in large professional services organisations, managing contracts across their lifecycle, and familiarity with contract lifecycle management solutions.
