Contract Specialist Leader

The Contract Manager position is a key role within our organisation, responsible for managing client contracts across the entire lifecycle. This includes forming strong relationships with Engagement Leads and other specialists to support and facilitate contracts through various stages.
Main Responsibilities- Contract Advice and Support: Provide guidance to Engagement Leads on our contracting processes, procedures, and systems, taking into account our industries, sectors, and clients' services in relation to new contracts, variations, or renewals.
- Initial Contract Assessment: Conduct an initial review of contracts to identify clauses that do not align with our preferred positions, escalating reviews to Risk Management, Legal, or other specialist teams as necessary.
- Contract Review and Negotiation: Manage the contract review and negotiation cycle, including facilitating internal reviews with stakeholders, advising the Engagement Lead, preparing and maintaining contractual documents, documenting changes, and outcomes.
- Contract Approvals and Execution: Oversee contract approvals and execution processes.
- Contract Guidelines and Reports: Develop contract guidelines for key clients to equip Engagement Leads with knowledge of the contract and how to engage under it, as well as create contract reports and analysis to support performance management of contracts.
- Experience: Proven experience working in a large professional services organisation or equivalent.
- Contract Knowledge: Deep understanding and knowledge of contracts and contractual obligations, including terms, structures, compliance, and contractual risks.
- Contract Management: Experience managing contracts and related processes across the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal.
- CLMS Familiarity: Familiarity with contract lifecycle management solutions (CLMS) and tools.
- Analysis and Interpretation: Ability to analyse and interpret contracts, summarising terms and obligations for various audiences.
- Stakeholder Management: Outstanding stakeholder management and collaboration skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Desired: Legal Background: Desired legal background or acumen.
