Chandler Macleod, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Silo Operator to support their client, Baiada Poultry, at their Hanwood location.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will operate and monitor silo systems to ensure the efficient storage and distribution of feed.
  • Routine inspections and maintenance of silos and related equipment will be performed by the incumbent to maintain high levels of productivity and safety.
  • Loading and unloading feed materials from trucks while ensuring accurate documentation is essential for this role.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor are critical tasks in this position.
  • The Silo Operator must adhere to strict safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to silo operations will also be a key responsibility of this role.

About You:

  • Prior experience as a Silo Operator or in a similar industrial or agricultural setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established safety procedures are essential qualities for this role.
  • The successful candidate should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to clearly report any issues are also important requirements.
  • The individual must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Estimated Salary: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
