Sacramental Education Specialist

About the Role
\Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn is seeking a highly skilled Sacramental Education Specialist to join our team. This role requires an enthusiastic teacher and Practising Catholic who is driven to nurture each child's talents and gifts through dynamic Sacramental programs in three parish primary schools.
\Key Responsibilities

- Ensure those assisting with the teaching of the Parish Sacramental Program across the three schools are prepared.\
- Deliver the Sacramental program for students.\
- Demonstrate at all times active support of CE and school policies and procedures.\
- Create a learning environment that stimulates learning and promotes excellence, accepting and acknowledging the needs of students to be both challenged and supported.\
- Use a variety of teaching and learning techniques that align with Catalyst and High Impact Teaching Practice (HITP).\
- Communicate in a clear, respectful, and professional way to optimise each student's development.\
- Maintain professional confidentiality on information about students and families.\
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft as a teaching and administrative tool.\
- Provide regular, timely communication to the Principals, Religious Education Coordinators (RECs) and Priests of the three Catholic Primary schools.\
- Liaise with parents and caregivers, attending to day-to-day school-based sacramental queries across the three schools. Issues of a pastoral nature should be discussed with Principals, Priests or school staff as appropriate.\
- Collaborate with the Parish Priest in the development of Sacramental Liturgies.\
- Carry out administrative tasks thoroughly and in a punctual manner.\
- Travel to all three of the Parish Primary schools to teach and assist with the teaching of the children of the three schools involved in Sacramental preparation.\
- Collaborate with the RECs of all three parish primary schools to ensure the smooth running of meetings, retreat days, and Sacramental Celebrations.\
- In collaboration with the RECs of all three parish primary schools, ensure the content being delivered is appropriate to the Sacraments.\
- Attend meetings with classroom teachers and RECs when necessary.\

Requirements

- Must hold a current Working with Vulnerable People registration and TQI Teaching Accreditation.\
- Must be a practising Catholic.\
- Must have commenced or completed relevant degree.\
- Must hold or be willing to obtain within four years Accreditation D as outlined in the Work Teach and Lead Policy.\

Salary
\The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, plus superannuation, based on the location in Gowrie, ACT, and the level of experience required.
