Job Description

The EHS Specialist is a critical role that requires strong expertise in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the EHS culture across the organization and supporting management and staff in internal/external regulatory compliance.

  • Promote a safety-first culture by engaging employees at all levels and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills on EHS best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing EHS regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, injuries, and complaints, and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide guidance on EHS-related matters to management and employees.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into business operations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with EHS non-compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, including OSHA and local regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
