About the role:

Leadership in Environmental, Health and Safety - Development Visionary

As a seasoned expert in environmental, health, and safety management, we are seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead our next chapter in EHS excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of driving strategic EHS initiatives, fostering a unified culture of proactive safety, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive EHS strategies, overseeing the implementation of corporate and business strategic EHS objectives at development level, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish robust EHS approaches from investment through to delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading EHS due diligence processes on new opportunities and ensuring effective SLT format and structure for all development business units.
  • Supporting the development director of operations in facilitating senior leadership team meetings and providing EHS advice on legislative and GMR standards and solutions.
  • Implementing behavioral, cultural, and technical competency educational programs and developing overarching EHS assurance programs to monitor EHS compliance.
  • Driving change at strategic and frontline levels, leveraging expertise in workplace-based EHS training and assessment, and managing environmental compliance and ISO 14001 & 18001 compliant management systems.

Requirements:

 

To succeed in this pivotal role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience delivering EH&S management within development, construction, or asset operations at senior management level.
  • Experience in large-scale urban development and/or construction projects and ability to drive change at strategic and frontline levels.
  • Degree or diploma qualifications in environment, health, and safety management (or related field) and understanding of managing environmental compliance and ISO 14001 & 18001 compliant management systems.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience in workplace-based EHS training and assessment and ability to develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies.
