Mars Wrigley Australia home to many well-known brands such as Skittles, Extra & Eclipse are looking for our next dynamic and motivated individual to join us as a HSE Specialist.

The HSE Specialist will play a key role in developing tools, providing training, coaching, and influencing Associates to empower them to take responsibility for their own and others safety. You will work closely with the HSE manager in the delivery on site of all Health, Safety and Environment standards and maintaining and continuously improving the safety performance and safety culture. 

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Support the implementation of the HSE Management system.

  • Provide day to day HSE support for Operations.

  • Manage incident response, investigations, and corrective actions.

  • Lead quarterly review of site compliance to Global Health and Safety Critical Standards.

  • Lead internal and Regulatory environmental reporting requirements.

  • Assist with completing risk assessments and supporting the risk management processes.

  • Lead the Health and Safety committee as well as the Emergency Control Organisation.

  • Ensure contractor compliance to Mars Contractor Management Program.

  • Deliver training as specified in in the HSE Training Plan.

Selection Criteria:

  • Degree qualifications or equivalent experience and skills e.g., Diploma WHS or Cert IV WHS.

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience and skills (preferred).

  • 2-3 years' experience in a HSE role.

  • Experience in the manufacturing sector (preferred).

  • Experience in developing of risk assessments, procedures and other HSE related documents.

  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
