Procurement Manager - Marine Fleet Services

This is a unique opportunity to shape your role and build a legacy with the Queensland Police Service (QPS).

As a key member of the newly established Marine Fleet Services team, you will support the Queensland Water Police, Marine Rescue Queensland, and the State Emergency Services with a fleet of over 400 vessels.

The focus is on quality growth and expanding the QPS Marine Fleet, emphasizing strategic procurement, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide strategic, operational, and tactical procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a strategic procurement approach for the unit.
  • Prepare high-level policy papers, submissions, briefs, and reports on complex acquisition-related issues and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage significant procurement projects in cooperation with key stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant Procurement qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience in Procurement roles within public service and/or marine sectors is advantageous.
  • Leadership experience in complex supplier arrangements and contracts is desirable.
  • Queensland Government procurement policies and SAP experience are favorably considered.
