Job Description

As a Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the daily maintenance and repair operations for our fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • You will develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage and supervise a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff, driving productivity and adhering to strict safety standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to source quality parts, tools, and supplies while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Track and analyze fleet performance metrics, maintenance costs, and downtime to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices related to fleet operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years and up to 7 years of experience in fleet maintenance management or a related field is required.Proven experience managing maintenance operations for a large fleet in a logistics, transportation, or express delivery environment is essential.Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate technical teams are crucial.Solid understanding of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance best practices is necessary.Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and deadlines are vital.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation is essential.Familiarity with safety regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices is required.Proficient in using fleet management software and maintenance tracking systems is necessary.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments are crucial.Ability to work onsite and adapt to a fast-paced, operational environment is vital.
