Marine Fleet Operations Coordinator

Key role in the development and coordination of fleet operations across the State, aligning with strategic priorities and operational objectives.
This position involves working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver fleet management services and provide expert advice on capability-focused projects. It includes monitoring interdependencies across multiple initiatives to facilitate successful delivery and support of vessel, vehicle, and trailer operational capability for an integrated marine rescue service.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing major fleet projects using project management techniques and tools.
- Consulting with suppliers on technical and operational requirements for fleet resources.
- Managing fleet build programs, including budget establishment and review.
- Preparing correspondence, briefings, reports, and submissions related to fleet program management.
- Contributing to the development and research of operational policy, systems, and equipment for marine rescue vessels.
- Providing expert advice on fleet-related issues and initiatives.
Requirements include possession of a Queensland Driver's Licence (Open 'C' Class) and commercial AMSA qualifications (Coxswain or Master < 24m). Desirable qualifications include a marine shipwright or surveyor qualification. Desired experience includes similar roles and industry experience, disaster management, and ability to travel intra-state.
