
Assistant Compliance Specialist

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and contribute to high-level support within the compliance space.
As an Assistant Compliance Officer, you will provide assistance in all aspects of proactive compliance and inspection programs.
You will perform a range of activities including the delivery of compliance programs by assisting in field and desk-based audits and inspections and interacting and negotiating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with a range of legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities include undertaking field/desk audits and inspections, liaising with stakeholders and/or their representatives to determine liability, generating assessments and/or preparing submissions to recommend courses of action to ensure compliance with legislation.
You will also be responsible for preparing correspondence and reports, including inspection and audit reports for stakeholders and their representatives to inform and support decision-making.
In addition, you will conduct research and participate in audit and other special project taskforces/teams to contribute to business and organizational outcomes.
Maintaining currency with established procedures and policy, making recommendations and contributing to the implementation of change to support optimal service delivery is another key responsibility.
Identifying instances of non-compliance matters and gathering and providing information and/or evidence for escalation and/or referral to the relevant team to support compliance activities is also a critical aspect of this role.
This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
