Job Title: Compliance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of proactive compliance and inspection programs.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent experience, as well as a thorough understanding of formal conduct of investigations, evidence gathering and review processes.

You will perform a range of activities including delivering compliance programs by assisting in field and desk-based audits and inspections and interacting with stakeholders to ensure legislative compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field/desk audits and inspections, liaise with stakeholders and/or their representatives to determine liability, generate assessments and/or prepare submissions to recommend courses of action to ensure legislative compliance.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports including inspection and audit reports for stakeholders and their representatives to inform decision making.
  • Obtain information, negotiate with stakeholders and/or their representatives on audit issues and compliance matters to gain audit acceptance and facilitate outcomes.
  • Conduct research and participate in audit and special project taskforces/teams to contribute to business and organisational outcomes.
  • Maintain currency with established procedures and policy, make recommendations and contribute to implementing change to support optimal service delivery.
