Medical Workforce Coordinator Job Overview

The Medical Workforce Coordinator is an integral member of our medical workforce team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our organization's medical operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and manage JMO rosters to ensure equitable distribution, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safe working hours as per relevant awards.
    • Oversee daily rostering processes, including managing sick leave, overtime, and annual leave coverage for all JMOs.
    • Coordinate JMO onboarding, credentialing, and rotation processes across multiple sites and units.
    • Provide administrative support, including report preparation, correspondence, and meeting coordination.
    • Offer timely advice, guidance, and support to junior and senior medical staff on various matters.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industrial awards, legislative requirements, and organizational policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience, preferably in a medical workforce or hospital setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrated initiative, independence, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, analyze complex information, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
