Workforce Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Workforce Development Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in driving the success of our workforce development initiatives and contributing to the effectiveness of our training programs.

This process-oriented position within an automated Distribution Center requires experience in maintaining large-scale compliance training records and expertise in technical or skill training planning and delivery. You will partner with Primary Connect Operations to implement and oversee the annual Distribution Center Training plan, ensuring frontline delivery of training is optimized.

You will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure that safety and compliance standards are met. Your responsibilities include reviewing Annual Site Training Needs Analysis, providing reporting to DC Leadership Team, managing Training logistics, forecasting, reporting and alignment.

Additionally, you will manage the logistics of training Programs, maintain documentation & records to ensure compliance and achievement of training outcomes, review site and team member competency requirements against performance and safety metrics in partnership with workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and oversee the annual Distribution Center (DC) Training plan
  • Deliver a site training plan that ensures that safety and compliance standards are met
  • Develop Learning Materials, streamlining ways of working and systems to gain efficiencies in the delivery of best practice learning
  • Manage Training logistics, maintain documentation & records to ensure compliance and achievement of training outcomes
  • Review site and team member competency requirements against performance and safety metrics in partnership with workforce planning
  • Monitor learning outcomes through a structured evaluation process to ensure the best operational return on investment
