Strategic Mine Planning Expert

As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for short, medium and long term mine planning, drill and blast engineering, pit geology and survey. You will support the development of the Life Of Mine (LOM) plan, 5-year strategy, budget and rolling 18-month forecast.
About The Role:- You will work closely with other teams to ensure delivery of the plan;
- Develop practical and achievable mine designs and schedules;
- Evaluate mine planning options to improve operational efficiency;
- Maintain an inventory of medium-term designs, out to 18 months;
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across the business;
- Coach and mentor other team members, including graduates;
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related field;
- Mining experience in large-scale operations, preferably in coal;
- Experience with CAD design software packages such as Deswik, Minex or Vulcan;
- An eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills;
- Advanced MS Office Skills;
