As a strategic Mine Planning professional, you will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency and supporting the development of long-term mine plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive medium-term designs, out to 18 months, ensuring alignment with business objectives;
- Contribute to the production of look-ahead plans, incorporating schedules, financials, and forward work initiatives;
- Evaluate mine planning options to optimize resource utilization and improve productivity;
- Maintain an inventory of design parameters, including geological, geotechnical, and engineering considerations;
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of plans and projects;
- Coach and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development;
- Monitor compliance to regulatory requirements and industry standards;
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset to all tasks and processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Mining Engineering or a related discipline, with experience in large-scale operations. They should demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
