Job Summary

The role of Mining Engineering Manager is to develop, supervise, monitor and review the mining engineering standards and procedures relating to the mining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion safe work practices and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Manage and review effective standards for statutory inspections, communication and reporting
  • Engage with Statutory Regulators and Industry Safety and Health Representatives as required
  • Cultivate positive relationships within site teams
  • Ensure detailed planning and scheduling to optimise production
  • Contribute to strategic growth and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Near NSW Mining Engineering Manager Certificate (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
  • 10+ years mining experience, with at least 3 years in underground longwall mining (mandatory)
  • 5+ years in operational management and supervisory roles (mandatory)
  • Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or related discipline (desirable)
  • Valid NSW explosive security clearance (formerly UHL) (desirable)
  • Valid Australian drivers licence
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication
