As a Mining Engineer with Yancoal Australia Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of long-term mine plans. This includes creating schedules, financials, and forward work plans that align with our company requirements.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for contributing to the production of long-term mine plans, ensuring they meet our operational needs;
  • Evaluate mine planning options to improve operational efficiency;
  • Maintain an inventory of medium-term designs, out to 18 months;
  • Liaise with various teams to ensure delivery of the plan;
  • Coach and mentor other team members, including graduates;
  • Monitor compliance to legislative requirements and site standards;
  • Apply a continuous improvement methodology to all tasks.

This is a mid-senior level position requiring a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline, along with significant experience in large-scale mining operations, preferably in coal. Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills are essential.
