Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Rail Safety Administration and Reporting Specialist to provide effective administration support to our Rail Safety Team.

  • Provide administrative support to the Rail Safety Team, including word processing, presentation preparation, spreadsheets, meeting and workshop management, and schedules.
  • Lead, coordinate, and coordinate weekly, monthly, and annual reporting requirements for Rail Safety and meet ONRSR reporting obligations.
  • Provide project support as required, including conducting research on subjects, technologies, practices, and procedures as directed.
  • Coordinate meetings and conferences, including venue bookings, arranging attendees and equipment, agenda, and/or minute preparation, travel/accommodation arrangements.
  • Support training requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis to monitor, assess, and report on trends that will form part of reporting obligations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualification in Rail Safety, Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent desirable but not essential or some experience in WHS or within the rail and/or construction industries.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Rail Safety National Law.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with the team, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of current rail safety legislation, codes of practices, processes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communications, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines while managing conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment.
