We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our Rail Operations team in Telarah, NSW.

About the Role

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying trends in performance, maintaining key performance metrics, and providing regular updates.

You will assist in developing, upholding, and revising HSE & Rail Safety Plans, as well as conducting accident/incident investigations and reporting.

In addition, you will provide coaching on HSEMS and contractual requirements, conduct HSE inspections/audits, and develop/deliver prestart/toolbox talks.

You will also monitor and conduct regular HSE and Rail Safety governance checks within project sites.

About You
  • Certificate IV OHS or working towards Graduate Certificate, Diploma OHS, Certificate in Risk Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting supervision and management with HSE issue/action closeout within the workplace.
  • Effective in managing site-based hazards and risks, with ability to plan and carry out safety inspections.
  • Previous experience working in high-risk construction industry.
  • Able to coordinate basic Health and Safety training and assist in identification of significant factors affecting project design and risk assessment.
  • Understanding of basic environmental risk management.
  • Rail experience preferred.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
