About this role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and dedicated customer service professional to join our team at Yarra Trams.

As an Authorised Officer, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service by being approachable and knowledgeable towards our traveling public.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer service through face-to-face interactions.
  • Reporting all offences detected and submitting relevant reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assisting in the security and preservation of Yarra Trams vehicles and property.
  • Contributing to the maximization of fare compliance on Yarra Trams.
  • Successfully completing legislative assessments relative to the role.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong customer service skills, ideally gained in a face-to-face environment.
  • Strong comprehension of the English Language to assist with completing legal statements.
  • Confidence and flexibility.
  • Ability to think and respond productively.
  • Ability to work in a close team environment and/or autonomously.
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts and irregular hours, over a rotating 7-day week.
  • Competence in various computer software and proven experience with various Microsoft applications.
  • A high standard of personal presentation.
