About the Role

Austin Health VIC is seeking a highly skilled Neuropsychologist to join our Medical and Cognitive Research Unit (MCRU) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering, scoring, and interpreting neuropsychological evaluations and psychometric assessments in accordance with research protocols.

About the Unit

The MCRU is a dynamic and collaborative team that conducts clinical trials in various neurodegenerative disorders, with a focus on Alzheimer's Disease. Our team comprises study coordinators, medical investigators, administrative staff, a recruitment officer, and neuropsychologists. We are committed to cultural safety and health equity for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People and welcome applications from talented individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and score neuropsychological evaluations and psychometric assessments
  • Interpret results in accordance with research protocols
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop and implement research studies
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and research, and experience working with older adults, particularly those with cognitive and memory concerns. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
