About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grade 2 Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our dynamic and innovative team at Monash Health Acute Neuropsychology.

The role will also involve providing mentoring to psychology students on placement and professional development opportunities to psychology staff, students, and/or registrars.

About the Unit

The Neuropsychology Unit falls under the Psychology and Specialist Services Program of Monash Health. Our unit provides inpatient consultation for acute adult services, as well as an outpatient neuropsychology clinic for active Monash Health patients.

We work collaboratively with inpatient and outpatient Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health staff to enhance patient outcomes. • Ability to provide targeted, brief cognitive interventions.
  • Ability to be professional in the provision of psychological services.
  • Ability to function independently and collaboratively with evidence of good interpersonal skills and experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective clinical documentation, records, and data.
  • Research and evaluation skills.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • Broad understanding of the Victorian health system.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of current relevant legislation and professional guidelines.
What You Need

To be eligible for this role, you must hold current full general registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and have appropriate post-graduate qualifications in Neuropsychology in an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited course.

You must also hold Endorsement in Neuropsychology with AHPRA or be eligible to work toward obtaining endorsement through undertaking the Registrar program.

What We Offer

This role offers a unique opportunity to work as part of a truly multidisciplinary team, where psychology is respected and valued. You will have the chance to extend your skills in inpatient and diagnostic outpatient neuropsychology services, as well as access to professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.

We offer excellent benefits, including dedicated professional development leave and an active clinical education program. You will also have access to benefits such as salary packaging, onsite discounted staff car parking, and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
