Clinical Research Nurse

Role Overview:
The Research Nurse will play a critical role in the management of daily study operations, participant visits, and ensuring participant safety. This position requires a high level of expertise in clinical trial coordination, participant care, and adherence to study protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the design, format, and content of CRFs, study guides, study reference binders, participant diaries, and forms.
- Analyse and assess each participant's condition according to the study protocol and determine appropriate action to ensure the participant's future care and participation in the study.
- Maintain effective communication processes with participants and relatives, investigators, and other members of the study team to ensure information is appropriately shared and the appropriate implementation of the study protocol.
- Report serious adverse events and adverse events according to TGA, ICH GCP, and local ethics guidelines and the study protocol to ensure participant safety.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Nursing, applicable Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma.
- Applicable Nursing Registration – Division 1.
- Appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience and/or training.
- Competence with critical assessment of vital signs, administration of subcutaneous injections, taking ECGs, and signs of clinical deterioration; as well as educating participants and families per study protocol.
- High level documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain Case Record Files (CRFs) and review files with monitors/auditors.
