The Orygen Specialist Program, a program of The Royal Melbourne Hospital, is seeking a Senior Neuropsychologist to join its Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to the delivery of specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings.
Custodial FYMHS is undergoing significant growth due to the Royal Commission and evolution of Victorian Mental Health Services. As a member of the specialist Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD) team, you will provide primary and secondary consultations regarding complex cases.
As a Senior Neuropsychologist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop excellence in clinical service delivery. You will be responsible for providing timely neuropsychology assessments and expert opinions regarding diagnostic formulations and treatment recommendations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to consult and liaise with the young person's care team and other key stakeholders in the community. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the development of evidence-based assessments and recommendations for treatment and support needs.
To succeed in this position, you must hold an accredited Master or Doctoral program in Clinical Neuropsychology, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia. Additionally, you should be a registered Psychologist with an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology and an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
