Clinical Neuropsychology Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team at Orygen. As a Senior Neuropsychologist, you will be part of the specialist Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD) team providing expert assessment and consultation services to young people in custody.
About the RoleThe Senior Neuropsychologist will provide timely neuropsychology assessments and expert opinions regarding diagnostic formulation and treatment recommendations to support young people and their service providers in custody. You will work collaboratively with the Custodial FYMHS Team Leads and multidisciplinary teams to develop excellence in clinical service delivery with evidence-based assessments and recommendations for treatment and support needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide neuropsychology assessments and expert opinions to support young people and their care teams
- Consult and liaise with key stakeholders in the community, including the young person's care team and other mental health services
- Work collaboratively with the Custodial FYMHS Team Leads and multidisciplinary teams to develop excellence in clinical service delivery
- Provide teaching, second opinion, and secondary consultation services to primary and specialist mental health services
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Completion of an accredited Master or Doctoral program in Clinical Neuropsychology, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia
- General registration AND an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Minimum experience in accordance with EBA requirements for this specialist position, including a minimum of 5 years experience in the application of Clinical Neuropsychology
- Demonstrated experience in the application of clinical practice, particularly in youth mental health

We offer a competitive salary package of $120,000-$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. This includes annual leave loading, superannuation, and generous salary packaging options.
