Executive Kitchen Leader

The role of Executive Kitchen Leader is a pivotal position that requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills and culinary expertise. As the highest-ranking chef in the kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring that every dish served meets the highest standards of quality.

  1. Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation;
  2. Lead a team of skilled chefs to achieve outstanding results and deliver exceptional dining experiences to guests;
  3. Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure efficient service delivery, manage food costs, and maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene;
  4. Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement new menus, concepts, and marketing initiatives;
  5. Recruit, train, and develop talented chefs to join the team and drive career progression within the organization;
  6. Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to enhance the performance of team members;
  7. Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure consistency in menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, current trends, and customer preferences.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a senior chef in high-end restaurants or hotels;
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving exceptional results;
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is essential;
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire passion, enthusiasm, and positivity in the team to drive an engaged, winning culture;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage well with both the team and guests;
  • Understanding and demonstrated adherence to Australian food standards;
  • Mandatory certifications include Food Safety Certificate and First Aid.
