The role of Agricultural Procurement Specialist involves the management of grain contracts and commodity procurement, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. This position requires a close working relationship with a collaborative team environment and supportive management structure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commodity Contract Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of grain contracts, from negotiation to payment and conclusion, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Grain Movement Coordination: Execute Grain Movement Orders in a timely and efficient manner, managing logistics and inventory levels at each site.
  • Contract Drawdown and Storage Management: Monitor and track contract drawdowns and grain storage handling facilities, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Supplier Relationship Development: Foster and maintain relationships with grain trade suppliers, identifying opportunities for new business growth and developing strategies for supplier evaluation and recommendation.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide valuable market insights relating to position and product quality relevant to raw materials, supporting informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Australian Commodities Sector Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the Australian commodities sector, its trends, and challenges.
  • Educational Background: Hold tertiary qualifications in an agricultural or economics degree, demonstrating a solid foundation in relevant principles and practices.
  • Grain Contract Knowledge: Have expertise in grain contract and supply chain systems, with experience in contract management and data entry.
  • Communication and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a high level of attention to detail, essential for building strong relationships and ensuring accuracy in contract management.
