Job Description

Cooinda Lodge is a unique resort nestled in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. We offer guests a gateway to explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed park. The lodge provides various accommodations, including rooms, eco-tents, and camping sites, along with amenities such as two swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a general store, and access to Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Cultural Centre.

The successful candidate will lead and drive the dedicated Tours department through effective customer service and logistic management.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall operations of the Tours division, ensuring high-quality guest experiences through exceptional service delivery, logistics management, and product development.
  • Optimizing team rostering to maximize revenue and efficiency.
  • Drive the recruitment, training, and development of tour guides, championing sustainable employment and cultural engagement.
  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships, promoting respectful collaboration and community involvement.

Qualifications
  • Proven leadership in high-volume tourism operations, ideally in remote or regional Australia, with a passion for Indigenous tourism and cultural interpretation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in sales, financial planning, and team development.
  • Driver's license mandatory (LR or MR preferable) and Kakadu knowledge highly regarded;
  • H endorsement desirable.
