Tourism and Visitor Experience Manager

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of tourism and visitor experience strategies that showcase Australia's unique natural and cultural heritage. To succeed in this role, you must have a deep understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and be able to communicate effectively with Indigenous communities.

Australia's diverse environments and cultures are central to our national identity, attracting visitors from around the world. Our organization manages national parks, marine reserves, and the Australian National Botanic Gardens, supporting conservation and cultural sharing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement strategic tourism plans and policies that align with organizational goals.
  2. Support commercial tourism activities, including authorizations and permits.
  3. Analyze visitor insights reports to inform policy decisions and improve visitor experiences.
  4. Prepare high-quality documentation, such as briefs, reports, correspondence, minutes, and agendas.
  5. Collaborate with park-based staff and internal/external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
