Job Title: Process Plant Mechanical Fitter

About the Role:

This is a full-time permanent position for a skilled mechanical fitter to join our team at one of our process plant facilities.

">

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Perform fault/maintenance diagnostic activities & complete repairs as required to ensure continuous operation of the plant.">
  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services relating to the plant, including implementing any mechanical shutdowns.">
  • Plan regular maintenance activities and recommend improvements to fixed plant and work practices.">
  • Document maintenance activities, maintain databases and generate purchasing requests.">
  • Perform fabrication activities in accordance with blueprints or schematic drawings, including minor welding repairs as required.">
  • Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment.">
  • Participate in call outs/breakdowns of plant and equipment.">

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (AUS) or National Certificate in Automotive Machining - Level 4(NZ) or equivalent.">
  • Experience with Pumps, Compressors, High pressure valves and flanges.">
  • Forklift license, EWP license, Confined space and working at heights are highly advantageous.">
  • Computer literacy is essential for this role.">
  • Ability to work overtime.">
  • Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and repairing a range of machinery.">
