Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Fitter Operator to join our team in Smithfield. This is a unique opportunity to work with high-tech equipment and be part of a close-knit team.

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment across various stages of beverage can production. You will perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations.

  • You will undertake preventative and reactive maintenance of auxiliary machinery.
  • You will work collaboratively within the team to achieve production targets.
  • You will adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
About The Role

This role requires a trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade) and at least 5 years' experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment. You should have hands-on experience in machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment are essential.

Requirements:
  • A relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade)
  • At least 5 years' experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience in machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
