Structural Steel Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our Tendering & Projects team, you will be responsible for managing the tendering process from end to end, ensuring timely delivery of accurate tenders and quotes.

The successful candidate will have experience in structural steel estimating and tendering, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, using your excellent communication and organisational skills to deliver high-quality results.

About the Role
  • Manage the preparation and delivery of conforming tenders and quotes.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and bid documentation.
  • Prepare schedules of quantities from technical drawings using Excel and Bluebeam.
  • Estimate costs for subcontractors, suppliers, and indirect project expenses.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of conforming tenders and quotes.
  • Manage tender registers, meetings, document control, and compliance with standards and costing.
  • Support smooth handover of successful tenders to the project delivery team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in structural steel estimating and tendering.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and contribute to process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
