About The Role

ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join our Hemmant branch. You will collaborate with several internal teams to provide ongoing support to customers through the preparation of estimates and delivery of customer's project requirements.

The Estimator is vital to our business, ensuring projects are accurately costed and planned to meet customer needs. This involves reviewing technical drawings, assessing material and labour requirements, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver estimates.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with both customers and colleagues.

Your Key Duties Will Include
  • Develop and maintain customer service relationships through service excellence
  • Management of customer enquiries with effective communication of product and service offerings
  • Liaise with the wider team to ensure estimates and projects are completed on time and to standard.
  • Interpret Engineering drawings to provide accurate estimation of quantities for all size projects.
  • Prepare forecasts of project volumes and timeframes for allocated projects.
  • Prioritise your work to manage your time effectively between multiple projects of varying sizes
  • Uphold WH&S requirements of ARC
  • Proactively identify risks and offer appropriate solutions

Our ideal candidate is a proactive and customer-centric team player, ideally with prior experience in estimating or scheduling.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate
  • A customer service background and with exceptional communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a process driven mindset
  • Sound IT skills
  • Estimating and reinforcing steel experience will be looked upon favourably
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and knowledge of the Building Industry and construction practices is not essential, but would be be an advantage
