About the Role

Our client, a national leader in modular construction, is seeking a Senior Structural / Steel Detailer with strong Revit and Advanced Steel expertise to join their growing production design team.

This role will see you deliver high-quality shop drawings and steel detailing across major mining, community, and modular housing projects in SA, WA, and QLD. You'll act as a key support to the National Lead, stepping in as 2IC and providing leadership across project delivery when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce steel shop drawings and base frame designs in Revit & Advanced Steel.
  • Export and manage models between Revit and Advanced Steel for workshop assembly.
  • Collaborate with internal designers and external drafting partners to ensure accurate outputs.
  • Contribute to the development of methodologies and construction workflows.
  • Support large project rollouts across mining, schools, community facilities, and residential housing.
  • Provide leadership on projects, coordinating design, estimating, and procurement teams.
  • Mentor and support junior and external team members as required.

Skills & Experience

Proven background as a Senior Detailer / Designer in steel or modular construction.Advanced skills in Revit and Advanced Steel (essential).Strong understanding of shop drawing methodologies, steel fabrication, and modular systems.Exposure to industries such as mining, modular housing, schools, or infrastructure projects.High emotional intelligence and the resilience to work in tough industry environments.Able to build strong relationships across distributed teams.
