Family Dispute Resolution Specialist - Townsville Opportunity

This role involves working with separating couples and families, providing information, support, counselling, and mediation to facilitate negotiations prioritizing the best interests of children and young people.

About the Position

  • Conduct thorough assessments in line with Family Law Act 1975 and FDRP Regulations 2008 requirements.
  • Deliver child-focused mediation utilizing relevant frameworks and best practice standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, case notes, and reporting as per organizational and legislative necessities.
  • Foster positive networks and promote services across the community.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment driven by shared values.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • Possession of tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Family Dispute Resolution, or Mediation.
  • Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (or eligibility for registration).
  • Demonstrated experience in family dispute resolution and child-inclusive practices.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and case management skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional standards in accordance with legislation and FDR accreditation requirements.
