About the Role:

Mater Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Professional to join their team in Townsville.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing education and training within the Registered Training Organisation.
  • They will support students within the classroom, simulated labs, workplace and online learning environments with a focus on student engagement, progression and success.
  • The Learning Professional will design, develop, implement and evaluate teaching resources aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver certificate programs to school-based students at Mater Education.
  • Support multiple VETiS cohorts in Townsville region schools.
  • Build relationships with students, clients, and colleagues through feedback and reflection.
  • Ensure safety and sustainability practices in the learning environment.
  • Contribute to program planning and development.
  • Manage student assessments with constructive feedback.
  • Engage in professional development for industry and teaching skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant health industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and experience working within an RTO environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage and apply key conflict resolution skills in the student environment.
