Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Technician to join our team at Workforce Australia for Individuals. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our fitters and engineers, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of rotating equipment maintenance and repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support and Guidance: Provide expert technical support and guidance to fitters and engineers, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of rotating equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of fitters and engineers, providing direction and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks.
  3. Quality Assurance and Control: Develop and implement quality documentation and repair plans/procedures, ensuring adherence to QA techniques and procedures.
  4. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to rotating equipment, providing solutions and recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  5. Customer Support: Provide technical customer support to clients and internal sales teams, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  6. Training and Development: Participate in training activities, develop and execute training activities, and contribute to the development of training programs.
Requirements
  1. Trade Certificate or Degree: Hold a trade certificate in Fitting and Machining or a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Experience: Have at least 4 years of experience in the rotating equipment industry as a tradesperson or at least 2 years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
  3. Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team.
  4. Computer Skills: Be proficient in computer skills, with the ability to use software and systems related to rotating equipment maintenance and repair.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
