Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team at Global Skilled Employment Services. As a Mechanical Engineer Technician, you will be responsible for completing hands-on activities to fabricate, assemble, erect, test, maintain, and repair equipment and components in line with industry best practice, company standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical engineering tasks, including fabrication, assembly, and repair of equipment and components.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Lead small teams or groups and train new members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement efficient work processes to improve productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT) or similar.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advance knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare, and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S.
  • Knowledge in computer programs/software is an advantage.
