Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team at Global Skilled Employment Services. As a Mechanical Engineer Technician, you will be responsible for completing hands-on activities to fabricate, assemble, erect, test, maintain, and repair equipment and components in line with industry best practice, company standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical engineering tasks, including fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of equipment and components.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Lead small teams or groups and train new members to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex mechanical engineering problems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with industry best practices, company standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT) or similar.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advance knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare, and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S.
  • Knowledge of computer programs/software is an advantage.
About the Role

This is a full-time position that may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have strong communication and time management skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
