We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our team and contribute to the success of our culinary operations.

Job Description:

As a seasoned Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring every dish is executed to perfection, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. You will work closely with the management team to develop new menu items, incorporate seasonal ingredients, and improve customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing kitchen production to achieve consistency and deliver exceptional products and services
  • Preparing and cooking a variety of Japanese dishes, including ramen
  • Developing and refining menu items to meet customer preferences
  • Overseeing kitchen staff to ensure proper training, efficient workflow, and adherence to food safety standards
  • Collaborating with management to plan and execute special events and promotions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A deep passion for Japanese cuisine and extensive experience in preparing classic dishes and creating innovative plates
  • Expertise in Japanese cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
  • Strong shift management capabilities, with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A high standard of personal grooming and presentation
  • Sound knowledge of kitchen management, including Japanese menu planning and costing, as well as good working knowledge of WHS standards

Estimated Salary: $75,000 plus 11.5% superannuation per year, based on Sydney NSW location
