Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with excellent leadership skills to join our team as an Executive Culinary Operations Manager. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen staff, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Kitchen Staff

You will oversee the daily operations of kitchen staff, ensuring that everyone follows recipes and safety protocols. This includes delegating tasks effectively across different kitchen stations, such as grill, sauté, and prep, to ensure smooth service delivery.

Kitchen Operations

You will be responsible for handling daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. You will also supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and consistency in meeting our quality standards.

Team Leadership

You will train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety, and proper use of equipment. You will delegate tasks effectively to ensure all stations operate smoothly during service.

Inventory and Cost Management

You will monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock of essential ingredients and spices. You will minimize waste and control food costs through efficient inventory management and portion control.

Health and Safety Compliance

You will ensure that the kitchen adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. You will conduct regular checks on equipment, food storage, and workstations to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Service Coordination

You will act as the key point of contact between the kitchen team and front-of-house staff during service. You will address any issues that arise during service to ensure customer satisfaction.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per annum, plus additional benefits and incentives.

Requirements:

  • Culinary Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required. You should have a proven track record of success in leading kitchen teams and driving business growth.

Leadership Skills

You should possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to deliver exceptional results.

Communication Skills

You should have strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
