About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Underwriter to bring their expertise in Financial Lines Underwriting to a specialist agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting new business for Professional Indemnity insurance, building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, and achieving new business targets within underwriting authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new business for Professional Indemnity insurance
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, understanding their unique needs and offering tailored insurance solutions
  • Responsible for the day-to-day underwriting of our portfolios
  • Achieve new business targets within underwriting authority
  • Maintain awareness of claim activity with assigned book and communicate with adjusters as needed
  • Participate in business development activities

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in Financial Lines Underwriting
  • High degree of technical underwriting ability
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal with a professional approach
  • A positive, growth mindset attitude
