Job Description: Manager Risk Insurance

We are seeking an experienced Manager Risk Insurance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing risk management strategies, driving continuous improvement, and providing leadership to ensure effective implementation of risk policies and governance directives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing risk advisory and assurance processes and systems
  • Driving continuous improvement of risk decision making, reporting, and monitoring
  • Providing leadership and training to ensure effective implementation of risk policies and governance directives
  • Understanding member insights and feedback, and leading delivery on the strategy and plan that prioritizes the best interests of members
  • Reviewing processes, controls, monitoring, and assurance arrangements, challenging as necessary, and escalating and reporting on issues as needed
  • Engaging internal stakeholders to drive the cross-functional implementation of the Risk Management Framework, including risk policies and procedures

About You

  • University degree in a related field (e.g., Business management, Law) - Mandatory
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience within a compliance, risk, or audit management role acquired in a complex, matrixed financial services organization
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing risk levels and developing and executing plans to mitigate risk
  • Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex information from a broad range of sources and present findings in a clear and compelling manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence, positively influencing risk behaviors throughout RACQ
