RACQ, a leading Queensland-based organisation, is seeking an experienced Strategic Risk Professional to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your skills and expertise in risk management and assurance within a dynamic and innovative banking environment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide first-line risk advisory and assurance services to RACQ Bank, collaborating with stakeholders to align strategic objectives with robust risk management practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective working relationships with managers at all levels to promote effective risk practices and behaviours.
- Risk Management Implementation: Guide and support the bank's business in adhering to risk management policies, processes, and requirements.
- Risk Culture Development: Drive a risk-aware culture within the bank by educating staff about organisational risk.
- Senior Leadership Advisory: Provide insights, advice, and recommendations to senior leaders on risk behaviours, decision-making, and practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess a detail-oriented approach, an enquiring mind, and a keen eye for detail. Proven experience in banking and/or risk & compliance, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
You will have the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels, identify and analyse critical problems, and provide solutions. Experience in writing professional reports and prioritising tasks effectively will also be beneficial.
