About the Role:

This position involves leading a team of experts to develop and implement programs that enhance student learning outcomes, academic engagement, and overall success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering curricular and co-curricular programs and services that align with research-informed best practices and institutional goals
  • Leading academic, digital, and professional literacies programs to equip students with essential skills for future success
  • Managing staff in an effective and supportive team environment that fosters collaboration and innovation

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in academic literacy-related fields, knowledge of the higher education sector, and legislative requirements relating to academic success and student support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for advising key faculty stakeholders and achieving buy-in for academic success initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualification in an academic literacy-related field or a related discipline
  • Sustained relevant experience in delivering curricular and co-curricular academic success programs and initiatives
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector, particularly legislative and regulatory requirements relating to academic success and student support
  • Knowledge of research and best practice regarding the innovation and optimisation of academic success and support programs
