Job Title:

Air Export Coordinator

  • Negotiate air freight rates and secure carrier space.
  • Manage HAWB/MAWB documentation and lodge export declarations.
  • Prepare Dangerous Goods documentation and escalate non-compliance issues.
  • Coordinate temperature-sensitive and pharmaceutical shipments.
  • Verify charges, manage accruals, and issue customer invoices.
  • Provide proactive status updates and service recovery communications.
  • Maintain accurate digital records for compliance.
About This Role:

This is a challenging opportunity to utilize your skills in logistics management, problem-solving, and communication. You will be responsible for managing outbound airfreight shipments from booking through to final invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Management

  • Negotiate spot rates and secure carrier space, updating system rate modules.
  • Build consolidations and manage HAWB/MAWB documentation.
  • Lodge export declarations and aviation security paperwork in line with regulations.

Customer Service

  • Provide proactive status updates and service recovery communications.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GDP, Dangerous Goods, and aviation security regulations.
Requirements:

Education and Certification

  • Completion of Year 12 (vocational qualification in logistics desirable).
  • IATA Dangerous Goods certification, and ASIC or willingness to obtain same.

CargoWise Capability

  • Strong capability, including use of Rate Manager and Freight Tracker.

Incoterms, RACA, and Chain-of-Custody Compliance

  • Advanced knowledge of Incoterms, RACA, and chain-of-custody compliance.

Prior Experience

  • Prior experience with high-value, AOG, perishables, or pharma cargo.

Stakeholder Communication and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.
