About this Role

You will be responsible for overseeing the import and export airfreight processes, ensuring timely and compliant cargo handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare documentation for direct AWB terminal collection and coordinate with drivers to arrange pickup.
  2. Update milestone records in Tango system for POD and quality control events (QCT).
  3. Clear customs on imported freight before delivery.
  4. Liaise with terminals, warehouses, and Schenker warehouse to locate misplaced cargo.
  5. Attend daily operation meetings, providing shipment statistics.
  6. Follow up on customs-held shipments with brokers when required.
  7. Negotiate airline rates for best possible deals.
  8. Arrange bookings with carriers for customs service requirements.
  9. Email pre-alert documents to destination offices as necessary.
  10. Coordinate with drivers for accurate and timely export cargo lodgement.
  11. Ensure accurate cost reservations for terminal fees and airline fees.
  12. Respond promptly to all incoming correspondence.
  13. Label courier export shipments collected by UPS.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. You must be adaptable, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
