The Product Specialist role involves delivering technical support and assistance to customers, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of their Bolter Miner fleet.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering on-site technical expertise to resolve issues swiftly;
  • Cultivating lasting customer relationships to ensure brand loyalty;
  • Coaching the service network on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting;
  • Providing advanced technical support for complex issues to end users, operators, and service personnel;
  • Offering valuable insights to Technical Support Managers and Factory Product Engineering for equipment enhancements;
  • Assisting in gathering accurate data for warranty claims and engineering improvements;
  • Advising on spare parts needed for planned and unplanned maintenance;
  • Collaborating with Site planners and coordinators to prioritize corrective work;
  • Analyzing machine downtime and developing actionable plans as needed;
  • Initiating root cause analysis for components when necessary;
  • Proactively and reactively investigating warranty claims to enhance customer satisfaction and support Warranty Analysts;
  • Optimizing Bolter Miner fleet operations using machine telemetry data to benefit customers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent;
  • At least 7 years of post-trade experience in Underground Mining, preferably with a proven track record in a similar role;
  • Exceptional technical training skills and the ability to deliver effective oral and written communication; and
  • High-level interpersonal skills, particularly in customer interactions, with computer literacy and adaptability under pressure.
