Family Support Specialist

As a Family Support Specialist, you will collaborate with educators in kindergartens and early learning centers to identify, engage, and support children and families facing barriers to participation.

Together, you will develop resources, information, and ideas to empower educators to respond to vulnerable children and families, increasing their capacity to overcome obstacles.

This role requires creativity in utilizing technology, such as video conferencing tools and document sharing platforms, to engage educators and families remotely when necessary.

You will be part of an organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with educators to develop their toolbox of resources, information, and ideas
  2. Coaching and empowering educators to enhance their capacity to respond to vulnerable children and families
  3. Utilizing remote communication tools to engage with educators, families, and associated service providers

The successful applicant will have experience working with vulnerable children and families, relevant tertiary qualifications, and proven leadership skills.
